This past week has consisted of a slew of exciting events for my fellow freshman peers and me.
On Tuesday, we attended the First-Year Banquet, a Hopkins tradition that celebrates our completion of first semester. Freshman were divided into groups of seven to ten and assigned to a table. When the banquet started, dozens of faculty members walked in, and one member sat at each table.
Dr. Moses Davis, Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion, took a seat at our table. Throughout the night, we conversed about Dr. Davis’s life experiences and position as Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion. I had an incredible time interacting and learning from Dr. Davis.
Last night, the freshman council of SGA (Student Government Association) put on the Midnight Masquerade, our freshman formal. Our class came together and danced the night away. There was even Insomnia Cookies! Here are a couple of my favorite pictures.
I had an awesome time this week interacting with the members of my class. I was able to meet new people and grow closer to those I’ve already met. I am proud to be a member of the class of 2022, and I am excited to see how we blossom in the coming years.
