What’s your biggest struggle right now?
Balancing all the things that I want to do with my time. I basically want to take every class that exists and still participate in clubs and also sleep and have friends. I’ll probably figure it out someday…
What’s something that surprised you about Hopkins?
The collaborative energy on campus. Hopkins has a bit of a reputation for being a cut-throat school, but after coming here, I’ve seen that everyone is really supportive and eager to help their peers succeed.
Where’s the coolest place you’ve ever been?
Hiking up Mount Rainier in Washington in the summer. There’s snow on the ground, but the air is warm and there’s wildlife everywhere.
What’s something interesting you learned in class?
I’ve learned recently that falling in love actually neurologically makes you stupid.
What’s a piece of advice that you would give to an incoming student?
Prepare yourself to work really hard, but also to have a lot of fun and meet incredible people along the way.
What puts a smile on your face?
Coming back to my dorm room after a long day, sitting with my roommates and talking about our day.
What’s something you wish you got involved with?
I wish I had gotten involved with the club that twirls fire. I’m not giving up on that dream yet.
