Hi Hopkins Insider! I thought a good way to start off my first blog post (exciting!) is to let you get to know me. One of the reasons why I decided to join as a blogger is because I love my time at Hopkins.
There are so many amazing people and opportunities that I wanted to share, and you’ll be able to see some of these people and resources through my video!
One of the places I wanted to highlight is the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center (or Bayview for short). There, I am a research assistant in the Pediatric Department, specifically the Center for Child and Community Health.
I found this position after looking at the Bloomberg School for Public Health’s directory. While looking through faculty, I read some of the work that my current principle investigator (PI) is doing, and I knew I wanted to get involved. I sent an email and from then on its history! This just goes to show how finding research and getting plugged into the Hopkins community is super easy!
Follow along on my daily schedule, see the gorgeous campus, and imagine how YOU will be the next Blue Jay to join our Hopkins family!
