To support safety and public health during the Covid-19 pandemic, all on-campus events are canceled until further notice.

As I wrap up my first year at Hopkins, I want to share with you one of the challenges I faced here. Since I was all settled in and used to hustle of college life, I decided to shake things up this semester and challenge myself by joining a dance team. As a very uncoordinated and awkward-on-stage person, performing on stage is going to be a really daunting experience for me.

JHU Eclectics is a co-ed student run dance group for dancers and non-dancers alike, that works with a variety of dance styles ranging from hip-hop and lyrical to modern and jazz. Here’s me trying really hard to pose at the promo video shooting.

Check out the following video from last fall’s SLAM showcase. We’re really good!!

Here’s the freshman class during a photoshoot for the Spring Showcase:

As you all gear up for an exciting Fall semester, consider coming to Open Practice for Eclectics during the first few weeks. You’ll learn a lot and will have a lot of fun! Who knows? You might find yourself putting on a show or choreographing a piece by the end of the semester!
