How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? My grandma was actually the first to comment on how impressive Hopkins is, and after my visit over the summer, I knew that it was my first choice.
Who is the most influential person in your life? My father.
Is there a quote or motto that inspires you? What is it and what does it mean to you? “We’re not cutting with lasers, were cutting with blades.” – My old woodshop teacher.
It could be a profound statement on self awareness, and knowing your flaws, but it’s actually just referring to the kerf of a blade.
How has your family background or life experiences shaped you? My dad’s motivation to create a future for my family inspires me to fulfill it.
What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? Visit as many campuses as you can and send in applications early.
What is the accomplishment you’re most proud of? Being respected by my peers and teachers.
What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? The lively campus life and the beautiful environment.
What do you hope to get involved in on campus? Bring a piece of a charity that I am a part of from my hometown.
