How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? I discovered Hopkins through an extended medical summer camp where I stayed on campus and I fell in love with the campus, the mission of the school, and the opportunities available. I decided to apply Early Decision because I knew this was the school I wanted to be at for the next four years of my life and no other schoolcould measure up to my love of Hopkins!
If you could teach one class at Hopkins, what would it be? (already exists or invented by you!) If I could teach one class at Hopkins, it would be History of Gender and the Family in the United States.
What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? My best piece of college search advice for high school students is to go with your gut. Find the place that makes you happiest and follow your head and your heart to that school.
What book, album/song, or TV show has had a profound influence on your life? It may sound crazy, but the television show Grey’s Anatomy has actually had a profound impact on my life. It helped me realize my goals of becoming a doctor. I have watched every season more times than I can count on one hand and is the best show to watch when I want to unwind.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? (dream big!) In 10 years, I see myself as a resident in a children’s hospital near where I grew up. I hope to have completed my undergraduate education and medical school and be on my way to becoming a pediatric surgeon.
What are you most excited to do in Baltimore? I am most excited to be able to go to the Inner Harbor and take a water taxi to Fell’s Point. I am also excited to go to the aquarium and the Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum. I am also excited to see an Orioles game!
