How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? Hopkins has always been a place I’ve known about since I was born and raised in Baltimore. Attending Engineering Innovation at the Homewood campus and being a part of the community during that time made be decide Hopkins was the place for me. Hopkins felt more welcoming as compared to other university campuses I’ve visited.
Is there a quote or motto that inspires you? What is it and what does it mean to you? “Better to have, and not need, than to need, and not have.”― Franz Kafka If there’s something that interested you, like a class or skill, but do not need, there is no harm in learning it. You never know if that particular skill or piece of knowledge will come in handy.
What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? Taking classes in a subject that I actually enjoy!
What do you hope to get involved in on campus? A sports club (badminton, table tennis)!
Complete this sentence: “I would not be here on this journey to Hopkins if it weren’t for ________________.” My dedication to learning and bettering myself.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? I see myself with my MS in Computer Engineering and working at a company I enjoy. I’ll also be in the process of designing and building my dream home.
If you could give your junior-year-of-high-school-self one piece of advice, what would it be? Do not stress over your SAT scores. Yes, they are important, but they do not reflect your entire academic career. Just try your best.
What are you most excited to do in Baltimore? Meet new people!
