How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? I have always known Hopkins to be a prestigious and respected university. When I visited the Homewood campus for the first time, I felt as though I was finding the place where I could make my future happen. I knew immediately that JHU was the place for me, and I applied Early Decision the following fall.

Who is the most influential person in your life? My older brother, who has always been a mentor and father figure to me.

If you could teach one class at Hopkins, what would it be? (already exists or invented by you!) Common Sense and its Modern Applications

Is there a quote or motto that inspires you? What is it and what does it mean to you? “Be bold and be a beacon of life.” This quote was shared with me by a counselor during summer camp. This quote reminds me that, regardless of obstacles, one must remain true to the tenets of their own values.

What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? Find the college that speaks to you in a way that no other one can. When you feel it, you’ll know.

What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? Everything, of course.

What do you hope to get involved in on campus? I have various interests, but I am particularly interested in an archery program

If you could get ice cream with one person (real or imaginary; dead or alive), who would it be and what kind of ice cream would you get? I don’t really eat sweets, but to answer the question I would take a good friend to eat gelato by the Fontaine de Trevi in Rome.

Complete this sentence: “I would not be here on this journey to Hopkins if it weren’t for _________________________ (person/place/thing/experience/etc.).” My mother and my grandmother.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? (dream big!) Beginning my career as an anesthesiologist.

If you could give your junior-year-of-high-school-self one piece of advice, what would it be? Enjoy the sleep.

What are you most excited to do in Baltimore? Take to the floor, so the world can wake up and see…
