How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? I discovered Johns Hopkins through my college counselor. I wanted to apply Early Decision because visiting the campus allowed me to picture myself experiencing four amazing years of college of here.

Is there a quote or motto that inspires you? What is it and what does it mean to you? “You are the sum total of everything you’ve ever seen, heard, eaten, smelled, been told, forgot – it’s all there.” – Maya Angelou

Everything happens for a reason. I wouldn’t be where I am today had anything happened differently in my past. This quotation inspires me to focus on the present and the future rather than dwell on the things I can no longer change.

What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? Although school websites could offer an abundance of information to help you narrow your search, you wouldn’t truly know which is the right fit for you until you’ve stepped foot onto the many campuses. Explore the buildings, speak to the students, taste the food, and experience the experience; the right school for you will be the place you could picture yourself being the happiest.

What book, album/song, or TV show has had a profound influence on your life? Grey’s Anatomy

What crazy invention would you love to design? I would love to design a device that could rummage through the existing memories stored deep within one’s brain and screen these past events as if it were a movie.

If you could give your junior-year-of-high-school-self one piece of advice, what would it be? Refrain from stressing too much. There will be plenty of chances for you to stress in college and beyond.
