How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? Johns Hopkins has always been a school I’ve wanted to go to and I was introduced to it after hearing so many good things through many people who are close to me. After looking into what Johns Hopkins was about, I felt it was the best fit for me both academically and athletically. I made the decision to apply Early Decision and pursue a position on the football team because I felt that by not applying would be a mistake and that it was something I needed to do.
Who is the most influential person in your life? The most influential person in my life has been my dad. He has been a big part of my life and has pushed me to do things that I never thought I could accomplish. Even from a young age, he instilled a drive and a work ethic in me. I have been so blessed to have been able to learn and grow up under the guidance of him.
How has your family background or life experiences shaped you? My family background has shaped me by teaching me to work for the things that I want in life. Both my parents have had to work since young ages and have had to sacrifice so much for their families. They have pushed these ideas onto me and my siblings because they have seen and understood the importance to working towards whatever it is you want.
