How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? My father attended graduate school at Johns Hopkins, and my mother currently works at Bloomberg. I was born near the campus, and I’ve wanted to attend since I was very young. I applied Early Decision after re-visiting the campus and finalizing my resolve to go to college here.

Who is the most influential person in your life? I can’t choose just one, but my parents have always been a driving force in my life.

How has your family background or life experiences shaped you? My family placed a lot of emphasis on music and literature, resulting in my hobbies being writing and composition.

What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? To stay open-minded and talk to as many people as possible during the process.
What is the accomplishment you’re most proud of? Getting into JHU.
What do you hope to get involved in on campus? Club activities and research opportunities. (I hope to join the Smash Brothers Club as well.)
If you could give your junior-year-of-high-school-self one piece of advice, what would it be? “You could’ve gotten more sleep.”
