How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? A friend from my high school goes to Hopkins and she told me about all the great research and music opportunities there. I attended the fall overnight and everything about the school, from the classes I attended to the community I saw, just felt right.

If you could teach one class at Hopkins, what would it be? (already exists or invented by you!) The Anatomy of Singing

Is there a quote or motto that inspires you? What is it and what does it mean to you? “There’s no choice involved in what you are given: one mind, one voice, one body to live in.” from Starship. No matter what life throws at you and no matter what opportunities you are given (or not given), you just have to roll with the punches and make the best of your situation.

What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? Look for what makes YOU happy. At the end of the day, it won’t matter how prestigious your school is or what your friends think, but what you personally get out of your education.

What fictional character do you most relate to or most closely represents you as a person? Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation (if she pursued STEM instead of the humanities)

What do you hope to get involved in on campus? Theatre, a capella/choir, scientific research
