How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? I heard from some-currently attending friends about the school, and its many opportunities for my intended major.
Who is the most influential person in your life? My mother, a doctor and a strong, independent Chinese woman. She has and will continue to be a role model for my studies and career.
What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? I’m looking forward to living really close to all the friends I make. I’m an only child, so being able to “go home” everyday to a bunch of other people my age will be a new and fun experience. The east coast is completely new to me, and I can’t wait to explore it with a group of new friends.
What crazy invention would you love to design? That flying board from Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, but with blinker lights, or at least a cup holder.
What are you most excited to do in Baltimore? Since winters in Southern California rarely reach below 50 degrees, so I’d love to build a snowman (it doesn’t have to be a snowman) when I have the time.
