How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? I can’t pinpoint the moment I “discovered” Johns Hopkins University. It has always been popularly known as an academic powerhouse – mighty mitochondria per se – with amazing research opportunities and remarkable medical programs. And so, I applied Early Decision because I wanted to exhibit a commitment to my dream school.
What is the accomplishment you’re most proud of? I am most pleased with my efforts in research. For the past two years, I have spent many nights wide-awake, poring over equipment manuals and academical literature to find the perfect film. I have devoted my summers to replacing corroded gaskets and analyzing atomic light patterns. My efforts have paid off, and I am now the proud co-author of a publication in the Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology A.
What do you hope to get involved in on campus? I hope to get involved in various clubs on campus, particularly the Hopkins Emergency Response Organization (HERO), Blue Jay Bhangra, and Art Brigade.
