How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? When I was younger and told my parents I wanted to become a doctor, they said Johns Hopkins was the best school to go to, so, I have always wanted to go there, and when it came time to apply, I did not think twice about applying ED.

Who is the most influential person in your life? My parents
How has your family background or life experiences shaped you? Having parents who immigrated to the United States has made me more open to experiencing different cultures, more understanding of people from different walks of life, and more appreciative of the opportunities I have. My parents have always instilled in me the importance of education and how education is the ticket to achieving one’s goals in life. So, I have always been inspired to work as hard as I can in everything I do.
What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? Start early and be open minded.
What do you hope to get involved in on campus? I want to get involved with orchestra, other music groups, and research.
If you could get ice cream with one person (real or imaginary; dead or alive), who would it be and what kind of ice cream would you get? I would get cookies and cream ice cream with Martin Luther King Jr. Ever since I was a kid, I have always been fascinated by how amazing of an orator and leader he was in the Civil Rights Movement.
What are you most excited to do in Baltimore? Eat different types of food from different cultures.
