How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? I discovered Hopkins while looking for an institution known for their research, something I’ve always been fascinated by but never had the chance to partake in. The plethora of research opportunities for students at Hopkins was incomparable to any other university and ultimately the reason I knew Hopkins was my home.

Who is the most influential person in your life? While it’s cliché, my parents have made me who I am today and without them I wouldn’t have been able to get this far.

If you could teach one class at Hopkins, what would it be? (already exists or invented by you!) I would teach a moral philosophy class and follow in the footsteps of Chidi from the NBC TV Show “The Good Place”.

What fictional character (Hermione Granger, Holden Caulfield, etc.) do you most relate to or most closely represents you as a person? Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation

What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? Meeting new people!! I’m ready for change and while I love my current friends and family, venturing out and being able to learn from different people is something I’m really looking forward to 🙂

What book, album/song, or TV show has had a profound influence on your life? Growth Mindset by Carol Dweck

What do you hope to get involved in on campus? There are so many things I want to do, but I’m super passionate about music, specifically singing, and I want to join an Acappella group!

If you could get ice cream with one person (real or imaginary; dead or alive), who would it be and what kind of ice cream would you get? I would get ice cream with Michelle Obama and every woman running for president in the 2020 election and I would get the superior ice cream flavor: Mackinaw Island Fudge (a Michigan delicacy).
