How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? Living in the Baltimore area, Johns Hopkins has always been my dream school because it is so close-by, and has top-notch research and biology programs.
Who is the most influential person in your life? My mom because she has taught me to always strive to be the best I can and to push my limits with everything I do.
How has your family background or life experiences shaped you? My family has taught me that by working hard, I have the power to acheive anything I put my mind to, and that I should never let small failures bring me down. I carry these lessons with me everywhere I go.
What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? You are going to get a lot of conflicting advice from everyone you know, but at the end of the day, base your final decisions off of what you know will make you the most happy.
What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? I am most excited about getting to do my own research, and I hope to do projects centered around the mechanisms behind aging and Parkinson’s Disease.
What do you hope to get involved in on campus? I hope to get involved in research, and journalism clubs, as I haven’t really had a chance to explore that in high school.
