How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? I discovered Hopkins through the CTY Talent Search when I was in middle school and started researching more about the school throughout high school. Afterward, I went to an informational meeting for Hopkins in Orange County and realized that this was the school where I wanted to be for the next four years!
If you could teach one class at Hopkins, what would it be? (already exists or invented by you!) A class about puns, or maybe the history of humor!
Is there a quote or motto that inspires you? What is it and what does it mean to you? “Welcome to the real world! It sucks! You’re gonna love it!” — Monica Geller, Friends. I like this quote because although it probably wasn’t written to be insightful, it says that no matter what life throws at you, it’s still amazing and worth loving! I think it speaks to the college experience as well because although it’ll probably be stressful and a lot of work, it’ll all be worth it in the end.
What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? I’m most excited for the freedom in selecting classes and getting to know people from around the world.
What do you hope to get involved in on campus? I hope to get involved in community service, research, volunteer work, and write for Hopkins Insider. I’m also down to do anything else that I discover at Hopkins that I find interesting!
If you could get ice cream with one person (real or imaginary; dead or alive), who would it be and what kind of ice cream would you get? I would have ice cream with Emma Watson, and we would get double fudge ice cream.
What are you most excited to do in Baltimore? I’m most excited to see snow falling and also check out all the food and boba locations around the city!
