How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? I’ve been interested in medicine for a long time now, and I’ve known for a long time that Hopkins is a great place to pursue that interest and start my medical career because of the opportunities that it provides. While visiting campus, I was again convinced that Hopkins is the perfect place for me as I learned that I can explore different interests within science instead of just staying strictly within my major. I decided to apply Early Decision because I loved what I mentioned above about the academic element and also the campus. I have always wanted to move to the East Coast for college, and the campus is perfect for me as it is close to the amazing city of Baltimore.
What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? I am so excited to meet new people and learn in such an amazing environment. I know that, at Hopkins, everyone will be very dedicated not only to studying but also to having a balanced college life. I’m so excited to make new friends and having fun both in- and outside college! In addition, I’m also very excited to explore different subjects and learning even more about the topics that I have some background in.
What do you hope to get involved in on campus? On campus, I really hope to get involved in extracurricular activities and clubs centered around medicine and music. I hope to be involved in research in neuroscience and internships or other medical opportunities at the JHU Medical Campus. I would also love to continue to pursue singing and songwriting through musical clubs and opportunities at Peabody!
What are you most excited to do in Baltimore? I am very excited to explore Baltimore to find great food places. I absolutely love trying new cuisine, and I will definitely make time to find new food places to eat at. I’m also really excited to be in snowy and cold weather and take pictures while wearing winter outfits, even if I’m freezing all over.
