How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? I was in sixth grade when I learned about Henrietta Lacks and her journey with the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Hopkins has always stood out to me ever since. As time went by, it had seemed like every medical breakthrough I read about had been made in association with Johns Hopkins. Thus, I knew that Hopkins was my dream school, and that if admitted, I would attend without hesitation.
How has your family background or life experiences shaped you? I’ve moved from continent to continent, country to country, state to state, and city to city all my life. While this lifestyle has presented many hardships for me, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have a greater understanding of the world, and for this I am thankful.
What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? Meeting new people, learning new things, and traveling abroad.
What is the accomplishment you’re most proud of? Becoming a Blue Jay!
If you could get ice cream with one person (real or imaginary; dead or alive), who would it be and what kind of ice cream would you get? An Oreo McFlurry with Eminem.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? (dream big!) Traveling the world and treating patients in developing countries.
What are you most excited to do in Baltimore? Attend an Orioles game!
