How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? I researched the strongest biomedical engineering programs in the U.S. and it kept coming up!
If you could teach one class at Hopkins, what would it be? (already exists or invented by you!) It would be called “Math Brains”. This class would help people learn how to perform the strenuous math to assist others, and could be applied to coding, mechanics or even biology.
Is there a quote or motto that inspires you? What is it and what does it mean to you? “You know, the ancient Egyptians had a beautiful belief about death. When their souls got to the entrance to heaven, the guards asked two questions. Their answers determined whether they were able to enter or not. ‘Have you found joy in your life?’ ‘Has your life brought joy to others?’” from The Bucket List.
What are you most excited to do in Baltimore? Become immersed in the social, cultural and sports atmosphere of this great city!
What do you hope to get involved in on campus? I would like to participate in clubs and extracurricular activities that complement my formal education, like soccer and Latino social and cultural clubs!
How has your family background or life experiences shaped you? I am the eldest son of two Argentinian parents. I was born in Evanston, Illinois but lived 11 years in Florida, 1 in Maryland, 3 in Argentina and a little over 2 in Colombia. This defines me as a multicultural and flexible to adapt to varied situations. I believe that a balanced life is the key behind any successful person, so I have spent my summers with a mixture of traveling, learning more about science, and giving back to the community. I spent my summers traveling around the world: I went to Argentina to see my grandparents, to the US to reconnect with my old friends, and through much of Europe to get to know my family’s roots.

What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? Meet my classmates, learn from the best and have a fun at JHU.
If you could get ice cream with one person (real or imaginary; dead or alive), who would it be and what kind of ice cream would you get? My great grandfather and have dulce de leche ice cream. I would ask him what made him cross the ocean and moved his family from Europe to Argentina
What is the accomplishment you’re most proud of? (big or small!) Runner up South Florida rugby championship in 2014. Playing rugby has made me less timid, and it allowed me to form deeper connections with people. I am not afraid to voice my opinions or take up the role of a leader.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? (dream big!) Leading a research team that focus on improving the quality of life for those who really need it: people with birth defects, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, etc.
