How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? Johns Hopkins was originally my dad’s dream ever since I told him I would like to go into the medical field. Together we did research, read stories, and learn more and more about the school. And overtime, his wish inspired my dream and I love JHU more and more, especially after seeing the campus for myself. We came to the decision of applying ED when we learned that ED is a good way to communicate to the school our commitment and passion to be there. And I’m glad I applied for ED, because I was able to achieve my dream so much earlier.
What are you most excited to do in Baltimore? Hang out and tour the city with my new classmates!! I had only been to Baltimore for several hours to visit the school, and I’m so excited to meet new people. So I would love to go out, grab a bite, and just have a great time when I’ve made some new friends.
What do you hope to get involved in on campus? I would love to try new activities that I haven’t try before. So I’m open to whatever JHU has to offer, especially intersessions. I’ve seen some intersessions on Instagram, and they looked like so much fun!
What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? High school students should try their best to visit the campus if possible, because no matter how good the college seems to be through a few web pages, they would not know where’s truly their dream until they’ve seen it for themselves.
What is the accomplishment you’re most proud of? (big or small!) Are you kidding me? Of course it’s being admitted to JHU!!! The most emotional moment of my life. I had never experienced happy tears before that, but I was bawling and roaring at 3:05 on December 13th.
If you could get ice cream with one person (real or imaginary; dead or alive), who would it be and what kind of ice cream would you get? Voldemort, because I’m a Harry Potter’s nerd, and I think he has never have ice cream in his life before. I want to show him that there’s some good thing in life after all. And I’ll get mint chocolate, because it’s my favorite, and it’s controversial.
