How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? I discovered Hopkins through word of mouth as well as through the accomplishments in the medical field in the history and present. I am also a recruited athlete on the fencing team and the Division 3, close knit team appealed to me.
What are you most excited to do in Baltimore? I am most excited to meet new people and challenge myself academically.
How has your family background or life experiences shaped you? My family is very in touch with their Indian roots and growing up, I would have to learn to balance my American social life with my families culture. And I think that having both influences on me has made me more aware and open minded about others.
What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? I would say to believe in yourself and do not be too hard on yourself. For the past 4 years, (or more) you have worked so hard and you should trust the process and know that wherever you end up going to college, you will find your people and your calling.

What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? I am excited to start fresh and find my passion that will be able to guide me for the rest of my life. I am also excited to meet smart, kind and driven people and make new friends.
