How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply? My mom encouraged me to visit Hopkins last summer after my junior year of high school. I fell in love with Hopkins’ truly unbeatable number of undergraduate research and academic opportunities, the pervasive amount of collaboration that I saw in the Brody Learning Commons, and urban environment which was similar to that of Philadelphia where I volunteer often and advocate for those less fortunate. As a liberal arts college that also combines the rich resources of a research university, Hopkins offered more of what I expected in my dream college than any other that I had visited, and that’s why I decided to apply ED.
Who is the most influential person in your life and why? My mom because she is probably the coolest person in the world. She cheers me on when I do something well and yells at me when I don’t. However, she supports me no matter what and is my favorite person to talk to.
If you could teach one class at Hopkins, what would it be? (already exists or invented by you!) Analyzing the music videos of contemporary artists
If you could get ice cream with one person (real or imaginary; dead or alive), who would it be and what kind of ice cream would you get? Neopolitan ice cream with Napoleon Bonaparte
