How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? I decided to visit most of the schools close to me and when I got to visit Johns Hopkins, I automatically smiled and all of my nerves about college finally melted away!
Is there a quote or motto that inspires you? What is it and what does it mean to you? “Knowledge is power” is the phrase that I’ve lived by for years. Some may believe that ignorance is bliss, but I feel that any problem that I’ve faced has been best solved or handled when I know every aspect of it that I can.
What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? If you get an email from a college, simply try googling the college before you delete that email. If you’re interested, note that college down to visit. If you’re not, be sure to unsubscribe from their emails before you delete it.
What book, album/song, or TV show has had a profound influence on your life? The album “Night Visions” by Imagine Dragons. My brother gifted me that CD when I was in middle school and I was very confused about my tastes and what I wanted my personality to be. Listening to that music caused me to discover my music taste, my style, and my mindset towards my life during that time period.
If you could get ice cream with one person (real or imaginary; dead or alive), who would it be and what kind of ice cream would you get? I would love to get ice cream with Spongebob Squarepants! That TV show was a big part of my childhood and anytime I watch it or hear a reference to it, I can’t help but smile. I suppose that if we were both getting ice cream, it would be necessary to try out something flavored with jellyfish jelly (whether it would be tasty or gross).
