How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? I don’t remember how I stumbled across Hopkins, but it definitely wasn’t on my list of colleges I was considering until late sophomore year. Upon accidentally ending up on the school website, I was amazed by how perfect everything seemed to fit. With every click, I became more and more sure. Johns Hopkins has everything I was looking for in a school, and, after a while, I truly couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. Hopkins was and still is my dream school. With that being said, I applied early decision. I knew that JHU was where I needed to be and I was 100% committed to attending if I was accepted.
Who is the most influential person in your life and why? The most influential person in my life is my mom. She always pushed me to be the best I could be and taught me everything a guy needs to know. I wouldn’t be where I am today without her constant unconditional love, support, and guidance.
What fictional character do you most relate to or most closely represents you as a person? If I could say anything different I would but Michael Novotny and I are way too alike for comfort.
What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? If I had to pick one thing I’m most excited for about going to Hopkins, it’d be getting to study what I love and meeting new people while I’m at it.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? (dream big!) In 10 years I hope to have graduated from Hopkins with a doctorate in a field of biology and be working in a hospital, doing some sort of neurobehavioral research on the side. I would also like to have started an organization that makes sure kids and teenagers having a tough time know they aren’t alone and that it gets better.
