How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision?
I first discovered Hopkins when beginning my college search. I had heard the name before, but I knew almost nothing about it at the time. As I ventured further into various websites and began to learn more about Hopkins, I became increasingly interested. So, I visited Hopkins early on in my junior year, and from that point on, I was hooked. I loved the campus, the academic programs, and the people there. Hopkins’ academic strength and emphasis on research both excited me from the start. After visiting multiple times, I was confident that Hopkins was the place for me, and so I decided to apply Early Decision.
What are you most excited to do in Baltimore?
I’m excited to run around Baltimore and explore the city by doing so. I am also excited to find some really great food in Baltimore.
What do you hope to get involved in on campus?
I’m going to be on the varsity cross country and track teams at Hopkins, so I know those will keep me busy. I also plan on getting involved in research at Hopkins, which I’m really looking forward to. Besides that, I’m hoping to find some fun clubs to join that will help keep me balanced with all the classes and commitments I’ll have.
What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students?
Visit! Every time I thought I had a college figured out, I would visit and my perception of it would be completely different. Seeing the campus and hearing from the students first-hand makes such a difference when looking at colleges.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? (dream big!)
