How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? I’ve always know about Hopkins and visiting the school for volleyball helped me know it is the perfect school for me! I love how small it is, that it’s in a city, and just the overall atmosphere.

Is there a quote or motto that inspires you? What is it and what does it mean to you? A motto I like to live by is “You live and you learn.” I like to repeat the words to myself in times of trouble or just when I’m having a stressful day. It helps me know that my mistakes do not define me and I can simply learn from them.

What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? My best advice is to start early and visit the schools! It’s a very good sign if you’re on the campus and can truly see yourself attending the school. It is also good to get involved in meaningful extracurriculars such as internships or working with nonprofit organizations.

Complete this sentence: “I would not be here on this journey to Hopkins if it weren’t for _________________________ (person/place/thing/experience/etc.).” my parents. Because of my parents constantly pushing me to do my best, I have been given everything I need to be where I am today. They have provided me with the opportunity to play volleyball as much as I do not only financially but through always driving me to my tournaments and games. They also have always helped me stay on the right track school wise and helped push me to be intellectually curious.
