How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? I discovered Hopkins at my freshman year when a Hopkins admissions counselor visited my high school and that experience really interested me. Then I learnt more and more about Hopkins through various sources and was amazed by the opportunities it offered for students to succeed. Therefore, I made it clear to myself in junior year that Hopkins should be my first choice and as the application season was getting close, I never hesitated to apply for ED.
Who is the most influential person in your life and why? The most influential person in my life is my grandpa. He was an orthopedist all his life. When he retired, he opened a clinic and always provided free medical assistance and medication to the undeserved in the community. As he aged, he battled liver cancer and survived. When he passed away, he was free of cancerous cells. His life demonstrated to me the importance of both kindness and confidence when dealing with impossibilities. He influenced me profoundly and inspired me to pursue science and engineering in college and to help more people in the community.
If you could teach one class at Hopkins, what would it be? (already exists or invented by you!) How to use engineering to create a healthier ramen

If you could get ice cream with one person (real or imaginary; dead or alive), who would it be and what kind of ice cream would you get? Isaac Newton and I have a long list of questions to answer him. I will get a cup of apple ice cream for him and maybe he will think of another important theory that can change the world.
