How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? I discovered Hopkins through my APCS teachers and trying to find good biology schools. With Hopkins’ funding for their biology program, as well as the research opportunities for undergraduates, I realized that it was the school for me so I applied ED.
What are you most excited to do in Baltimore? Explore the city and take nice pictures!
What do you hope to get involved in on campus? Intramural basketball, research, maybe music production?
How has your family background or life experiences shaped you? My parents have always been incredibly supportive of me. They also give me a ton of freedom which allows me to develop as a person through mistakes.
What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? Get started early and don’t worry about what schools other people are going to. This shapes your future and where other people go has no impact on your life and the great things you’ll end up doing.
What crazy invention would you love to design? A honking mechanism to thank nice people on the road
What book, album/song, or TV show has had a profound influence on your life? Kendrick Lamar’s “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City” influenced my life a lot. It was one of the first albums my older brother showed me.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? (dream big!) Working at a pharmaceutical company with a PhD.
What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? Engaging in some really interesting research and exploring more of the world.
