Who is the most influential person in your life and why?
My math teacher for 2 years, Mr. Kochensparger, would have to be the most influential person in my life so far. It’s his general energy and enthusiasm that makes his students enjoy the class. Many people don’t like math, but something about his style of teaching changes that.
If you could teach one class at Hopkins, what would it be?
Mythology. Like many other’s, I grew up with Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series. I’ve been fascinated by mythological stories ever since and it’d be a class that I’d enjoy teaching.
What fictional character do you most relate to or most closely represents you as a person?
Stewie Griffin. We’re both defined by our brains. We both want to be independent, but, ultimately, we still need others.
What is the accomplishment you’re most proud of?
Getting into Johns Hopkins. It provided a sense of acceptance and a confidence boost in the work that I do.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In a residency program at a major hospital in a city like New York. Stable job as an anesthesiologist or surgeon, along with a healthy relationship.
