How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply ED? I discovered Hopkins at the same time that I was exploring my interest in translating my love for biology and biotechnology into a meaningful career path. The Hopkins BME program offered me this surrounded by an intellectually vibrant, multicultural community in which my voice wouldn’t just be heard, but amplified through tough conversations, community involvement, and pre-professional development. I applied Early Decision because I am certain beyond a reasonable doubt that the Hopkins education and community will serve as the cornerstone of my intellectual and personal endeavors for decades to come.
If you could teach one class at Hopkins, what would it be? (already exists or invented by you!) Science and Institutions: Setting Advancement into Motion.
What are you most excited to do in Baltimore? Meet all of my classmates and explore the city’s food scene!
What do you hope to get involved in on campus? I’m currently considering Model UN, BME Design Group, and Engineers Without Borders.
What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? Identify a broad idea of what you’re interested in pursuing as soon as possible. Once you have that broad idea, you can begin exploring its branches and which colleges are best suited to provide you with a robust education in said branch.
