How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply ED? I fell in love with Hopkins at first sight! Everyone was super energetic and engaged. I saw smiling faces everywhere and students truly seemed happy. I also loved the idea of an open curriculum and the abundant research opportunities. As a student at Hopkins, I knew I would reach my fullest potential!!
Who is the most influential person in your life and why? My parents because they always have my back. In anything I do, they fully support me.
If you could teach one class at Hopkins, what would it be? (already exists or invented by you!) The Science Behind Newtro (explores why this phenomenon happens)
Is there a quote or motto that inspires you? What is it and what does it mean to you? Nothing’s impossible. Even the word itself says Im Possible! This is my motivator as it keeps me going even when I want to give up:)
What are you most excited to do in Baltimore? Go to cute cafes and restaurants with friends!
What do you hope to get involved in on campus? I hope to get involved with volunteering such as tutoring BCPS students. I also want to become a peer listener in A Place to Talk.
How has your family background or life experiences shaped you? As a military child, I have moved around a lot. I have lived in and several states and even overseas. Through these experiences, I gained a broader perspective and developed an interest in learning about new cultures!
What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? Find a school you’re passionate about and don’t get too caught up on ranks and statistics.
What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? I’m super excited to meet new people and study in depth about what interests me!
What is the accomplishment you’re most proud of? (big or small!) I’m proud of organizing a school wide mental health assembly at my school.
