How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply Early Decision? Johns Hopkins has always been my dream school. I decided to apply because I wanted to attend a college which had plenty of research opportunities. What drew me to Johns Hopkins is the community in which they feel accepted and interconnected, despite their blatant differences, yet pushed to appreciate their independence and express their individualism.

Is there a quote or motto that inspires you? What is it and what does it mean to you? What is meant to be will be.

How has your family background or life experiences shaped you? Being a first generation college student has pushed me to be responsible in my academics as well as my personal life. Coming from immigrant parents has allowed me to be more grateful for the opportunities I’ve been blessed with.

What book, album/song, or TV show has had a profound influence on your life? Tell the Wolves I’m Home by Carol Rifka.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? (dream big!) Happy and fulfilled. Not settling for mediocrity in my career or personal life. Surrounded by people who have pure intentions for me. And I’ll hopefully have started my career in surgery.
