How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply ED? I discovered Hopkins through CTY. I did multiple math classes in middle and high school with the program, and absolutely loved it. So, when the time came to start looking at colleges, it was a natural choice. After visiting, it felt like it could be my home for the next 4 years, which made the choice to apply ED very easy. Not to mention that it is the leading hub for the medicine world, so there was no denying that it would offer me the best education and an amazing community to grow into who I want to become.
Who is the most influential person in your life and why? The most influential people in my life are my parents. They have sacrificed so much in their own lives by moving to the United States to ensure my sister and I get the best possible life. If it were not for them, I would not have the privilege to attend JHU. I truly admire everything they have done, and I want to do everything I can to thank them for it.
What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? Spend time looking into what off-campus opportunities, educational or recreational, will be available. After all, this is where you will spend 4+ years. So, you want to make the most of your options and go somewhere you know you will be happy.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? (dream big!) In 10 years, I see myself finishing my journey of becoming a doctor, and starting on my path to fight to bring affordable healthcare to every part of the US and beyond.
