How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply ED? I discovered Hopkins in middle school, when I stumbled upon some research done by JHU students and faculty which really fascinated me and inspired my own research in my junior year of high school. I decided to apply ED because for each of my 1359 days on the JHU Campus, I found a reason to be a Blue Jay—be it JHU’s impeccable academic opportunities, research, student involvement in the community, or cultural diversity.
Who is the most influential person in your life and why? My father not only motivated me to fulfill my dreams, but he also supported me throughout my journey in every way possible. He made me a strong and independent person with a humble demeanor and I hope to become like him some day.
If you could teach one class at Hopkins, what would it be? (already exists or invented by you!) Anakin: An Inspiring Enigma.
Is there a quote or motto that inspires you? What is it and what does it mean to you? Work hard and let your success make the noise. I think my life experiences have taught me the importance of working hard and how hard work has the potential to change our entire lives.
What are you most excited to do in Baltimore? Attend the Spring Fair!
What do you hope to get involved in on campus? There is so much that I look forward to, be it Research or HopMUN or writing for the Hopkins Insider and Epidemic Proportions among other opportunities like presenting at the Symposium.
How has your family background or life experiences shaped you? My family background and life experiences have taught me to soar high with my open wings, all while remaining humble and in touch with my roots.
What book, album/song, or TV show has had a profound influence on your life? Book: Unbeatable, TV Show: Big Bang Theory.
What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? Becoming a part of their student community and live with a high school spirit as a proud Blue Jay!
What is the accomplishment you’re most proud of? (big or small!) To get admitted to JHU! (Also, to lead my school’s editorial board as its editor-in-chief this year, releasing the maximum number of quarantine editions.)
