How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply ED? I found out about Hopkins when visiting my family in Virginia and touring the school. It was absolutely beautiful and I knew I was going to apply.
Who is the most influential person in your life and why? My taekwondo instructor. He taught me how to be confident and believe in myself.
If you could teach one class at Hopkins, what would it be? (already exists or invented by you!) Delving into the Unknowns of the Menstrual Cycle Because the Rest of the World Does Not Think it is Relevant Enough to Be Delved Into and Instead Makes Half of the Population Suffer.
Is there a quote or motto that inspires you? What is it and what does it mean to you? “Though she be but little, she is fierce.” I am 4’10” and have often been the shortest person in every single grade of school. As a taekwondo instructor and having half my students being taller than me, my height has often been a struggle.
What are you most excited to do in Baltimore? I’m excited to meet new people and try new food!
What do you hope to get involved in on campus? I hope to join gymnastics and the taekwondo club.
What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? Start early, do not wait until Dec 31.
What book, album/song, or TV show has had a profound influence on your life? I think half of my personality comes from Friends and Schitt’s Creek.
What fictional character do you most relate to or most closely represents you as a person? Eren from Attack on Titan, he is very impulsive and so am I.
What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? I am excited to find who I am and learn more about myself.
What is the accomplishment you’re most proud of? (big or small!) My black belt.
