How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply ED? Hopkins’ unparalleled undergraduate research opportunities and the educational freedom their students have were the two big factors that made me want to apply to Hopkins. After taking the virtual tour, seeing the beautiful campus, and learning more about the opportunities undergraduate students had, I knew Hopkins was the one for me and decided to apply ED.

Is there a quote or motto that inspires you? What is it and what does it mean to you? “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” Dr. Seuss. I don’t get sad (okay maybe a little) after the beautiful things that have ended, instead I prefer to be happy because I have experienced such good things to be sad after.

What do you hope to get involved in on campus? Research and anything related to food.

What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? Decide yourself. College is an experience you will have, so don’t let people change your mind because they think this college is better than that college.

What book, album/song, or TV show has had a profound influence on your life? The Office. “There’s a lot of beauty in ordinary things. Isn’t that kinda the point?”

What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? I am most excited about meeting new people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Complete this sentence: “I would not be here on this journey to Hopkins if it weren’t for _____________ (person/place/thing/experience/etc.).” My parents. Without knowing they were there for me, I wouldn’t be able to finish this whole application process.
