How did you discover Hopkins? Why did you decide to apply Early Decision? JHU is the Nike of universities. They just do it.😎

If you could teach one class at Hopkins, what would it be? (already exists or invented by you!) Freestyle Rap (not a maestro yet, but I’d like to be along for the ride)

What are you most excited to do in Baltimore? The eatery/poetry den combo, Busboys and Poets, looks like a fun place to perform and listen to live poetry, or just hang out with friends.

How has your family background or life experiences shaped you? My family and I lived in a bio-reagent lab for two years while our house underwent flood repairs. Although this was not the time I discovered my love for biology, I began to call the lab my home.

What out of the box invention would you love to design? Portal gun– Rick and Morty style.

What book, album/song, or TV show has had a profound influence on your life? Albeit the most recent show I finished, Ted Lasso’s unabashed emphasis on kindness, forgiveness, and self-reflection was fiercely refreshing.

What is the accomplishment you’re most proud of? (big or small!) Finding a good balance between work, family, friends, and watching Survivor.

If you could get ice cream with one person (real or imaginary; dead or alive), who would it be and what kind of ice cream would you get? I’d get ice cream with George Orwell and tell him what 1984 was really like. Afterward, I’d ask about his predictions for the future over a scoop of mint chocolate chip.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? (dream big!) Either on Mars as resident botanist, or a molecular and cellular biology professor focusing on PD-L1.
