What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to build things! Whether it be designing the buildings, managing the construction on-site, or something in between, I want to be able to drive by something and say I helped build it!

What’s your biggest struggle right now?

My biggest struggle is trying to enjoy the moment and enjoy my last year of college while also applying to jobs and figuring out my future.

What’s something that surprised you about Hopkins?

I expected everyone to be stuck-up, but I have made some amazing friends that are so down to earth and don’t even realize how great they are.

What’s the coolest place you’ve ever been?

Austin, TX is my favorite place to visit. It’s such an interesting mix of cultures and the food is amazing.

What’s something you discovered lately?

I discovered that college is going by so so quickly, so it’s important to live in the moment and enjoy each and every day.

What’s something interesting you learned in class?

Sometimes, buildings are designed to have a facade that looks like it is the actual structure of the building… so one of your favorite red brick and marble buildings on campus may actually be steel and concrete, just covered with a layer of brick and marble.

What’s a piece of advice that you would give to an incoming student?

Take your studies seriously, but definitely don’t take yourself too seriously.

What’s your favorite thing about this school?

The camaraderie. We are all struggling so hard and working so much, but we are doing it together. I don’t feel like the nature of the school is competitive, I think we all support each other through the rough times (finals) and rejoice in the good times (Spring Fair).

What puts a smile on your face?

Dogs! Seeing a dog always brightens my day and makes me smile. The fluffier, the better!

What do you do when you’re not studying?

I’m either drinking coffee, watching Netflix, or eating Carma’s grilled cheese and tomato soup

What’s something you wish you got involved with?

I wish I had gotten involved with one of the dance groups on campus.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

My guilty pleasure is napping. I live for naps, and I mean like 3 hour naps. None of that 15 minute power nap nonsense.

What’s a change you’ve made recently?

I’ve began to focus on making myself happy instead of worrying about what others think I should do. I would highly recommend it!

Why did you come to Hopkins?

It was the best school I got into, and I had a great time at SOHOP.

What’s your favorite memory since you’ve been at Hopkins?

My favorite memory would be the Nelly concert from Spring Fair! I had a friend from back home visiting, and we got a big group together and went and it was a blast!
