Meet the students involved with the Brazilian community

Group members last year

Who are we?

We seek to bring the Brazilian community at Hopkins together and spread awareness of the Brazilian culture to the entire JHU community.

What do we do?

We have many informal events for the Brazilian community to get together, such as game nights (truco!), movie nights, etc. We also have open events, generally involving food, such as Cooking with BRASA and our annual Brazilian BBQ. Being a part of the organization just means you’re invited to all the BRASA-only events, but you can also join our exec board to help plan the events. Finally, you also become part of the greater BRASA community. The national BRASA hosts annual conferences, and we also send a couple of members to those!

“Being an international student from Brazil, BRASA offered me a way to find some of my closest friends on campus, while sharing our common cultural experiences.”
